AARP Tax-Aide

The Volunteers of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program provides free tax preparation assistance to anyone.

They are especially focused on helping those that are age 50 and older, and who can’t afford a tax preparation service. With the help of our team of IRS-certified volunteers, we work to make filing taxes easy for you. There is no fee, no sales pitch for other services, and AARP membership is not required.

AARP will be here on Friday's 9-12pm. Starting Monday January 5, 2026, you can call to schedule your 30 minute appointment. Space is limited and spots fill up FAST. 

 All participants will be asked to pick up at Tax packet from the front desk of the library. These packets need to be completed prior to appointment time. Packets include check-lists and paperwork that needs to be filled out by the individual. 

Please call 1-618-288-1212. to make an appointment starting January 5, 2026. 

If the Library has to close due to inclement weather, we will not be able to notify you directly that your appointment is canceled. Make sure to check our website and social media to see the most up to date information about library closures. In the event the library closing, You will need to call the library to reschedule your appointment. Because space is very limited appointments will be reschedule with the remaining available spots and are not guaranteed.
