Registration is only required if you would like to reserve a diamond painting kit. After you register, the Library will contact you before the first class to confirm your interest in a kit.
Join us for a cozy evening in the Shire! Settle in to watch The Lord of the Rings while working on your favorite craft. We’ll provide diamond art kits for those who’d like to try something new, or you can bring your own project from home.
We will be watching the theatrical editions, totaling 9 hours and 30 minutes across six nights. Each session, we’ll view half of one movie. This is a social event lights will be on and conversation and is welcome.
If you are interested in doing a Diamond Painting:
- We have 12 unique kits, each depicting a different location in Middle-earth.
- Kits are first-come, first-served, with priority given to those who register in advance. Any remaining kits will be handed out on the first night.
- Kits may be taken home between sessions, but replacement pieces will not be provided if lost. The Library can store kits for you between dates.
- Diamond painting projects take 8–20 hours on average to complete.
- Kits will only be distributed at the first class and cannot be picked up earlier.
- An informal how-to session will be offered once, on January 20 at 5:30 PM, before the movie begins at 6:00 PM.
Not interested in Diamond Painting:
All small crafts welcome. As long as it can be cleaned up by close of library.
